Job Responsibilities:

• Transcribe audio and video recordings into accurate, well-structured text documents.
• Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
• Handle various types of transcription projects, including interviews, meetings, webinars, podcasts, and legal or medical transcriptions.
• Ensure timely delivery of transcriptions within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information in all transcription work.
• Communicate effectively with clients to clarify any ambiguities or specific formatting requests.
• Implement client-specific guidelines and preferences to meet their transcription needs.
• Utilize transcription software and tools (e.g., Express Scribe, Otter.ai, or similar) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Continuously improve transcription accuracy and speed through feedback and personal development.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Transcriptionist or in a similar role.
• Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in typing with high accuracy and speed.
• Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and language usage.
• Experience with transcription software and tools.
• Ability to work with audio and video files of varying quality and clarity.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
• Availability to work during clients’ preferred time zones (USA, UK, or Australia).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in specialized transcription fields (e.g., medical, legal, technical).
• Familiarity with transcription tools and foot pedals for increased efficiency.
• Ability to transcribe in other languages (a plus).
• Knowledge of time-stamping and advanced formatting techniques.
• Strong communication skills to clarify any transcription issues with clients.
